Zach Scott
Chief Operating Officer
Point2 Technologies, Inc.

As Chief Operating Officer, Zach is responsible for operational management and improvement, working with Point2’s leadership to deliver and ensure the company’s success worldwide. In this role, Zach oversees the functions of Business Intelligence, Technology Development, Customer Service & Support, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources and Information Technology.

Driving an aggressive growth strategy, Zach is currently spearheading a number of process improvement and transformation initiatives across Point2’s business divisions, re-architecting systems and standardizing the adoption of practices that form the underpinnings of Point2’s global position as a leader in Internet technologies.

A dynamic and well respected leader, Zach brings to the position thirteen years of leadership, software design and development experience with fast growing technology organizations specializing in large scale web-based applications.

Zach is also co-founder of two technology companies including Calgary-based Cambrian House, where he last was Chief Technology Officer and member of the company’s Board of Directors.

During his career, Zach built and led cutting edge teams at a number of high profile organizations including TransCanada Pipelines, CGI Group Inc., and, AudeSi, later acquired by Wind River Systems where Zach led development of the web management interface for the company’s carrier-class managed network switching software, today used in most Cisco and Nortel switches and routers.

Most recently, Zach held the post of Chief Technology Officer at Point2, where he introduced dramatic Agile development processes and galvanized the technical foundation that today powers the company’s real estate market strategy.

Zach was promoted to his current post as Chief Operating Officer, in February 2009.

Zach studied Computer Science at the University of Calgary, from 1993 to 1996. He holds a United States Patent for his work on remote observation and control of handheld devices, and has two additional patents pending with the U.S. Patent Registrar.
